We’ve all heard countless tales of near death experiences, of going to heaven and feeling the loving glow of a bright light embracing those individuals. In some instances those same individuals are suspended between life and death. Perhaps they’re witnessing their own lifeless body being worked on by first responders or doctors within a hospital setting attempting to save their life.
Sometimes seeing dearly departed loved ones, or in some instances hearing the unmistakable voice of God, proclaiming that their journey is simply a prelude to what lies ahead for all human kind, instructing that individual that they must return back to earth, and tell all of their experience.
However, not all near death experiences, comes with a “God was here” tagline. Some simply stand on their own merits without needing another Heavenly tale.
Take for example 20-year old Michael Pruitt who was hit with a few thousand volts of electricity, and died within seconds. His death didn’t need validation concerning a trip to Heaven and back. Moreover, he had been clinically dead for 20-minutes. The fact that his survival was a “medical impossibility,” is a testament to God’s present in all matters within our daily lives.

The young man was instantly electrocuted as he carried a metal ladder while helping his step-dad on a construction project. Unaware that there were some “live wires” on the ground, Pruitt unwittingly touched the wires with his ladder, an intense bright spark instantly illuminated the area, as Pruitt crumbled to the ground.
“I remember being electrocuted while holding that ladder and shaking, and then nothing,” Michael said. His step-dad, Keith Jacokes, was the witness to the entire thing.
The homeowner also witnessed the accident and quickly called 911, she was also a Registered Nurse, and along with Michael’s step-dad they were able to take turns performing CPR on Michael’s body, until first responders were able to get to the scene.
However any attempt to resuscitate Michael proved futile, and by all medical rational Michael was beyond hope.
Doctor Angel Chudler upon witnessing the lifeless body exclaimed, “They brought in this perfect young man who had no vital signs.”
However, Dr. Chudler isn’t someone who accepts medical impossibility, in that she has witnessed in her medical career what can only be described as miracles. She was more then willing to give God a helping hand; “I said to my team, ‘We’re bringing him back.’ And then, I said to him, ‘You better come back!’,” she recalled. Then the team used a defibrillator to shock Michael’s heart as it was already 20 minutes since he got electrocuted.
Miraculously, his heart started beating again and his mom Jillian said, “My first-born had returned from the dead!” Michael had indeed returned from the dead, “When he became conscious again, he was like The Hulk, grabbing the railings and shaking the bed with huge strength,” Nurse Yasmeen Bachir explained. She then joked, “I guess every superhero has to die at least once.”

Michael, not only survived being electrocuted, but also sustained no medical complications, making a full recovery, according to the Director of trauma Services, Barbara Smith.
His recovery has earned him the name of ‘Miracle Man.’ He is thrilled to be alive and is taking his new title very seriously.
“I always told my mom as a joke that I could never die,” Pruitt said. “Now I feel I am meant to do something great in life.”
Adding, “Most people don’t get second chances like this,” he said, “I gotta do something with my life. It could have so easily turned out the other way.”
No doubt, Michael has been given a second chance at life, and he believes that God allowed him to come back from the dead, to perhaps do good for others, perhaps as a first responder himself.
John 11:38-44 “Then Jesus said, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?’ So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, ‘Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.’ When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go.’”
