Diehard believer in Jesus, Phil Robertson, former star of the smash success reality series, “Duck Dynasty,” gave a little chat recently about being a part of God’s Eternal Kingdom, a blessing that anyone can receive so long as they repent of their sins, place their trust in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross. He went on to say during this conversation that he is “fired up” to spend forever, a concept that is so very difficult to wrap the human brain around, with the Creator and Ruler of all things.
This is the kind of attitude all of us as believers should be cultivating in our daily lives as we walk with Jesus. Many of us love our lives so much, have the things of this world so tightly in our grasp, that we fear and dread that moment when death comes knocking on our door. We neglect to see that passing through death is a going through the gate, walking through the door, into an eternity of bliss and peace, being present with Christ and loved ones who traveled the path before us, never to be separated from Him or them ever again.
One day, we’ll be united to brand new bodies, made like the resurrection body of Jesus, and come back to rule and reign with our Savior on the earth. How can you not be excited about that?
“I’m fired up about being in a kingdom. We have an invisible king, but He’s all over the earth, and the kingdom is growing, and it’s been tried to wipe it out over and over and over, but we’re all still here,” Robertson stated in a video clip that was published on Instagram earlier in June.

The caption on the post further expounded on his message, “This doesn’t just encourage me — it gets me fired up. I hope it does the same for you. We’re part of an eternal kingdom that will never expire and can never be crushed. The evil one has tried time and time again to wipe it out, but he never will. Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords, and he will always triumph.”
Last year, Robertson shared another inspiring post on Instagram, in which he expressed his amazement at how many people have sought the Lord after hearing about the good news of Jesus on his podcast, Unashamed. “It amazes me how many people show up at our church to get baptized and say it’s because they heard about Jesus on our Unashamed podcast. That’s the Lord’s doing, not mine. But getting to show you who he is and what he’s done for us is something I don’t take for granted,” he wrote in the post.
Robertson added that he has experienced what it is like to live without the presence of God and how life-changing the experience is to then accept Jesus Christ as your savior and only hope for salvation. “I know what it is to go from living like God is dead to believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I know what it’s like to realize it’s not all hopeless,” he said. “Turning to Jesus was the best decision I ever made. I want that hope and mercy for every last one of you.”
The wise old sage from the woods of Louisiana also encouraged folks who enjoy the podcast to vote for it to be considered for the prestigious “Podcast of the Year” award, but not so he can be more famous and popular. Robertson has never cared for such things. He wants the podcast to reach higher and higher levels of success so that the gospel will be heard by more and more people.
“They tell me even more people are listening to our internet Bible study now that we’re up for the Podcast of the Year award. If it brings the gospel to more people, well then count me in. You can vote for the Unashamed podcast till tomorrow at klovefanawards.com,” he finished.
