On Thursday, Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris participated in town hall event with Univision where, during one portion of the event, she tackled the issue of abortion. Harris told the audience that many folks “rightly, have made a decision that they do not believe in abortion.”
Okay, let’s pause for a brief moment. Our vice president just stated that those who have determined that abortion is a vile, evil practice are correct. This is a major admission and one would think that it would inform her policy concerning the issue as a whole, but it doesn’t. If it is wrong, if it does harm to a helpless, defenseless child, why in the world would you advocate for it? Help it make sense, ladies and gentlemen.
Harris then stated that she’s not trying to change the minds of those who are opposed to abortion, but is making the case that “the government shouldn’t be making this decision.” I have to disagree with the vice president. One of the legitimate areas that government is supposed to be involved in is the preservation of the rights of citizens. Life is the most basic, fundamental right we are given by God and the government is granted the authority to protect. How much more so should they be involved in the protection of the right to life for the pre-born, who have no voice of their own?
The Vice President then said if she wins the election in November, she will “proudly sign back into law the protections of Roe v. Wade which basically just says, it’s the person’s decision, not the government’s decision. That, in essence, is what’s behind my position.”
Harris went onto say, “I’ll tell you, there are probably many here and watching who, rightly, have made a decision that they do not believe in abortion. The point that I am making is not about changing their mind about what’s right for them or their family. It’s simply saying the government shouldn’t be making this decision.”

However, she later added, “So, as president of the United States, and, if I am elected as the first woman president of the United States, I will proudly sign back into law the protections of Roe v. Wade, which basically just says, it’s the person’s decision, not the government’s decision. That, in essence, is what’s behind my position.”
Notice what’s missing from her statement?
She never mentioned a single word about restrictions placed on this barbaric procedure. In other words, Harris believes its completely okay for a person to get an abortion at any time during the pregnancy and likely immediately following. We used to call this murder. Ah, the good old days. This is obscene and terrifying. How many lives will be decimated if Harris wins the general election and takes the White House?
Pray for the pre-born. Pray for people to open their eyes and do what is right, thinking less of themselves and pleasure seeking without consequences. Lord, have mercy on us.
