A new report from The Christian Tribune has revealed that the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department has taken a suspect into custody for a recent drive-by shooting at the home of Pastor Greg Locke in the state of Tennessee. On Sept.3, police showed up at Locke’s home where they found a total of 30-40 shell casings on the property. After the incident, authorities informed Locke he should avoid returning to his home. He and his family have been forced to relocate for the sake of their safety.
Authorities stated that “On December 4, 2024, detectives with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, with assistance from the Metro Nashville Police Department, executed a search warrant at 8234B Terry Lane, Hermitage, TN, in reference to the shooting that occurred on September 3, 2024, at 1729 Chandler Road, Mt. Juliet, TN.”
“After they searched his residence, police arrested 20-year-old Tyler Pool on an outstanding indictment. He was charged with four counts of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, two counts of vandalism, and aggravated assault. All were related to the shooting at Locke’s home. No injuries were reported and the suspect is being held on a $50,000 bond at Wilson County Jail,” The CP report revealed.
Global Vision Bible Church has a history of being tangled up in controversy. One example of how extreme some of their theological positions can be is the congregation encouraging members to burn any items they owned that had ties with Halloween. They also suggested they burn items connected to the occult. Now, if these are legitimately occult items that were created for the purpose of being involved in some form of witchcraft or divination, I’m not opposed to destroying them. However, burning harmless Halloween decorations can be a bit overboard.
Property belonging to the Church has been violated on numerous occasions. An official motive for the drive-by has yet to be released to the public.

In a statement to his congregation, Locke said “We have not been allowed to be back at our house since then, and other than packing stuff up, we’re not going back anyhow.” He explained that the police “Told us that they fear retaliation at this moment.” In response to this attack, the pastor has moved from Mt. Juliet to nearby Lebanon. The Pastor arrived at his home, shortly after the shooting started. He believes that the Lord slowed his family on their return trip from Pidgeon Forge. According to Locke, security camera footage shows the suspect “unload an entire magazine of bullets from an automatic weapon into our house, garage, and my truck.” The Pastor has posted the footage to social media.
Initially, the Pastor thought that someone was throwing beer bottles at his home. Greg Locke explained, “All of a sudden I began to realize it (bullets)went through the wall and the headboard and Destiny’s room, and you know, riddle the truck up and the garage, and we’re talking about from the bottom of the driveway all the way up through the back of the truck, the middle of the truck, out the front of the truck, through the garage door, all the way out the back of the garage, into the fence, at the very back of the property.” He quipped “We’re not talking about a Daisy BB gun.”
Locke then retrieved a gun of his own while his wife called local law enforcement authorities. He then went on the hunt for the shooter.
“I’m running around the house like a madman with an AR in my hand and a 9mm in my back pocket, not knowing what’s going on,” he recounted. “And, by the way, you can criticize that all you want to, but I’m here to tell you one day, the government’s not going to protect you, and the police aren’t going to show up in time, and you better know how to protect your family, you hear me?”
On that final point we agree.
