A clip recently went viral on social media featuring a pastor making some rather odd claims during a sermon, including God using the pronouns “she/her.” I don’t think I have to really write this out for the faithful who read this to know it’s blasphemy, but hey, guess what? This is blasphemy.
Why? It is a violation of the Second Commandment (third if you use protestant commandment division) by saying something about God and His nature that is untrue. One can also say it’s breaking the first as well, because it’s creating a false God, one you made up, and worshiping at its feet.
As you might imagine, many folks all across the internet shredded this pastor and his egregiously offensive claim.
“John shakes people up. When people ask John what they should do to escape this wrath of fire, his response has a powerful economic dimension. Anyone who has more than one coat, especially today, should give that coat away to somebody in need,” the woke pastor started his “sermon.” ” If you got more food than you need, share with those who are hungry.”
“And you employers, you pay your workers a living wage. So John the Baptizer proclaimed a different version of the Good News of God. The presence of God didn’t mean that we were closer to Heaven. It meant that we’re to get closer to justice and mercy and equity,” he went on to say, according to The Christian Tribune. “No wonder John was arrested and later given the death penalty by the state.
“But after John is arrested, Jesus steps up and proclaims this good news, The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God has come near, repent and believe in the good news, the good news of God,” the preacher continued in his blasphemy. ” What is that? It means that God is proclaiming that she loves us and desires for each of us to know that we are loved and valued.”
And this is where things get even worse. Be prepared. What you’re about to read next will make you want to vomit in your mouth if you’re a true follower of Christ.

“She loves us. God loves us. That’s the good news of God. That’s the main message that Jesus brought. And the time is fulfilled. He says, Jesus means that in his life and ministry, God is coming to us in a new way. It’s a kin-dom of God is near, ” he told his super small audience. ” Yeah, I said Kin-dom instead of Kingdom. You may do that here. I don’t know whether you do or not, but I do it for a couple of reasons.”
He then said that one of the reasons he de-emphasizes God’s masculinity is because “God may not be the man we think he is.”
A user on social media brought up an excellent point saying that those who are adamant about other people calling them by their preferred pronouns seemingly refuse to allow God to use His.
“He self-identifies as masculine in pronoun as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are disrespecting Him by their own rules LOL,” the same user said. “He says John ‘proclaimed a different version of the good news of God’. A different version of God? Ya don’t say?”
Druid Hills Presbyterian Church impastor explains that the mesage of John the Baptizer has a "powerful economic dimension" that includes advocating for "living wages," which resulted in his arrest and death.

By refusing to abide by how God has identified Himself to us, this “pastor” has twisted the very nature of God and His Word. He’s leading people astray with this false teaching and needs to cease his preaching and repent for the damage he’s causing.
Failure to comply with God’s Word on this matter will result in judgment being poured upon him when he stands before the Almighty at the end of his days.
